8 October 2018 Startups

Thailand and Australia are tightening relationship through the collaboration of National Innovation Agency (NIA) and QUT Creative Enterprise Australia (CEA) of Australia in supporting innovation entrepreneurs of both countries.

Both parties declare the intention to cooperate in supporting the development of startup ecosystems between Australia and Thailand through the Letter of Intent, led by NIA Executive Director Pun-arj Chairatana and Mark Gustowski, CEO of QUT CEA, the Australia’s dedicated creative industries accelerator.

The partnership will bring about more effective international knowledge exchange, program support delivery, entrepreneurial gateway opportunities, facilitate investment for startups and startup ecosystems and collaboration across programs that help grow the skillset and business activity between both countries.

The core of these activities have been proposed to be delivered through the establishment of the Thai – Australia Startup Network of which CEA and NIA will be lead partner agencies.

The collaboration will allow for Thai and Australian startup ecosystem stakeholders (including but not limited to co-working spaces, startups, program support agencies, service providers, investors, educational institutions, investment funds) to work through an established channel providing efficiency and effective outcomes.
