2 innovations for child safety developed by Thai creators, “Bio Sensor” with IoT detecting the heat alert at the mobile app and GPS watch Pomo tracker technology to prevent children from losing their way.
Pitichai Pitimaneeyakul, CEO at 2Cans Co, Ltd. said the “Save the kids” innovation was developed to solve a problem of drivers who leave their vehicle unattended result in child forgotten in the car, the Biosensor technology can detect the life from carbon dioxide level and humidity. If the child was left in the car for a certain time, their body’s temperature would be higher and lose the water, they would have a chance to die within 2 hours. The higher body temperature, the lower body humidity and result in carbon dioxide emission.
The IoT platform will detect since the vehicle was shut down, if a child was left for 15 minutes, the system will measure carbon dioxide emitted in the car and if the carbon dioxide was continuously higher, the system will trigger the alarm to the driver or teacher via smartphone application. The function of the biosensor works precisely and helps increase the rate of survival of the child left in the vehicle up to 95%.
The GPS sensor monitors the vital signs of drivers for indications of fatigue, distraction, impairment, illness or other issues and it can track the data in real time and send updates to an app in parents’ phones to make sure their child is safe at all times.
Chatchai Tungjittong, Co-founder of Pomo House said the GPS Pomo watch comes with the Pomo Connect application that parents need to download. The watch has triple mode tracker technology, Wifi, GPS, A-GPS location, so parents can get the most accurate location of the kids, both indoors and out.
In addition, the “Take me home” feature can give the child on the right route so they never get lost. In case of emergency, the function of SOS will trigger an alarm to the parents for the accurate location.
