“Extraordinary Team” from Thailand becomes a top six at Hult Prize Regional Round, rooting for the Accelerator Program in London

Hult Prize Regional Round, the Asia’ student-run social business ideas contest has been starting. The challenge aims to create social business models that can genuinely profits and make changes to society. This year’s theme for the contest is “Developing an Idea to Provide Meaningful Jobs to 10 Million Young People within the Next Decade” as to inspire startup to create solutions that solve youth and unemployment problems. Under the collaboration of Hult International Business School, United Nations and Education First, the Hult Prize has been established since 2010 and has inspired more than million students throughout the world to build new social enterprise startups to solve the real social problems. In Thailand, two universities have joined the project are Chulalongkorn University (Hult Prize at Chula) and Thammasat University (Hult Prize at Thammasat).

The competition this year, four teams from Chulalongkorn University and Thammasat University were selected to join at Hult Prize Regional Round. National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) or NIA has lead Extraordinary Team, the first runner at Hult Prize at Chula with “THISABLE” project – a medium website to search for disabled people by using Artificial Intelligence to match between companies and people with disabilities, to join the event during March 21-24, 2019 at Hult International Business School Shanghai in China.The Extraordinary Team’s project and business model has been selected as one of the final six teams from total 32 teams from Asia. From now on, let’s root the team of Chulalongkorn for entering the Accelerator Program in London, United Kingdom where the global business experts will share their knowledge. National Innovation Agency (NIA) has supported Thai startups to go for the global stage.
