Covid-19 Symptom Tracker Mobile App By Thai Startup

Thai Health Tech Trade Association developed AI-based and Telehealth “Covid-19 Tracker” mobile application to detecting and screening people with suspected Covid-19 infection.

Pongchai Petchsungharn, CEO of Smart Healthcare Global, as member of Thai Health Tech Trade Association, supported by National Innovation Agency (Public Organization), the mobile application was designed as a tool to assist doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, hospitals and health providers associated with the Covid-19 outbreak, the Covid-19 Tracker mobile app will be used to detect and screen people at risk for Covid-19., both Thai and foreigners travelling to Thailand.

The mobile app brings together those hospitals, healthcare providers, field hospitals and state quarantine on the network and have people group who are at risk to register and do daily report their health status, informing their present or check-in address, record their daily health on the application for the whole 14-day self-quarantine practice. The Covid-19 tracking mobile app will display users’ health status in three colors based on their symptoms: Green means normal, Yellow means those are at risk with infection with symptoms like cough, running nose, sore throat, difficulty breathing, and Red is infection. The doctor will send message via chat bot for consulting or having diagnosed in case of the “Yellow” and have medical emergency in case of the “Red” status.

Telehealth technology has been applied for the entire process for screening, basic diagnosis and chat bot answering.

Pongchai added that the system has been tested with a large company where more than 10,000 employees are working from home and they are required to register using the Covid-19 Tracker mobile app and do daily report their health status.
