In an attempt to promote innovation for better quality of life and environment, Bangchak has supported startups to co-create the green ecosystem.
Chaiwat Kovavisaruch, President and CEO of Bangchak Corporation Pcl. (BCP) said the company is gearing up for supporting startups and innovators to enhance the quality of life and environment through the green ecosystem focusing on green energy and bio-based innovations. The scheme has been functioned by Bangchak Initiative and Innovation Center (BiiC) focusing on collaboration development, financial support to research and academic institutes for co-research and development of the green and biotechnology.
BCP is ready to do joint-investment with global startups which have innovation and technology for new business development, and create the ecosystem supporting the innovation.
The BiiC recently introduced “Winnonie” the startup of BCP Group to help promote a better quality of life for public motorcycle drivers. The pilot service which starts in the area of Bangchak head quarter and the refinery is a part of “The Intrapreneur” which is the innovation promotion program.
The study found that the electronic motorcycle can save up to 10 times of energy, the highlight is the swapping battery which is the first in Thailand that battery can be changed at the battery swapping cabinet of Bangchak gas station and its partners such as Sansiri Public Co., Ltd. and Kiatnakin Bank and will expand will expand to the network of electronic motorcycle manufacturers and dealers, and other agencies in the future. The program was supported by Prakhanong District Bangkok, Land Department, and related public agencies.
