NIA, Fukuoka ink startup agreement

National Innovation Agency (NIA) signs a memorandum of understanding with Fukuoka City on a collaboration of startup.

NIA Executive Director Pun-Arj Chairatana and Soichiro Takashima, Mayor of Fukuoka City recently signed an agreement on collaboration of technology and economy development for startups between NIA and Fukuoka City.

This is the first move of the collaboration supporting startups and startups ecosystem between the two countries in providing assistance with the purpose of bilateral technological and economic developments. Such assistance may include exchange and provide reciprocal privileged access to knowledge sharing resources, workshops, programs, events and consultation sessions between companies in Fukuoka and Thailand; develop networking opportunities between the two countries; supporting support entrepreneurs in company establishment and office acquisition through free consultation with specialists and business development services.

Both parties also provide information on subsidies to help business establishment, support in collaboration with financial institutions, introduce related industrial organizations and their networks as well as introduce universities and other higher educational institutions to each other.
