As part of its “digital utility” organization, PEA introduced the EcoStruxure ADMS platform the reliable and efficient power distribution in accordance with Digital Economy.

Provincial Electricity Authority Deputy Govenor of Operation and Maintenance Wallop Kittiwiwat disclosed that the PEA has been thriving on “digital utility” by 2022, a huge transformation in electricity network system, customer services, internal processing, human resource, and platform technology. The achievement of digital transformation requires the integration of the working process for standard and efficiency to supporting new technologies such as electric vehicles or Internet of Things (IoT) and the new business model.

Paving the way for agile organization, the PEA plans to transform its structure and operations by which the PEA workforce will be encouraged for more knowledgeable and up-skilled, meanwhile the functions of business and digital technology support units must be more collaborative. All divisions of PEA have been working together, moving toward smart grid, the new dimension of electricity service enabling PEA to command, monitor, and analyze the power consumption.

PEA will implement EcoStruxure™ ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management System) the architecture and interoperable technology platform brings together energy, automation, and software. It provides enhanced value around safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability, and connectivity even in the crisis incidents.

In addition, the EcoStruxure™ DERM (Distributed Energy Resource Management System) enables PEA to orchestrate distributed generation and deliver electricity while improving the reliability and quality of service. The solution maximizes distributed energy resource value through grid constraint management, deferring capital investment, maximizing distributed energy resource interconnections.

Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure™ ADMS which will upgrade the PEA’s power distribution center, analyzing the entire electric distribution network. All the transformation have been functions under the project of efficiency enhancement of electric distribution center that PEA expected all benefits for public and the energy sector, paving the way for digital economy.
