Collaboration of the government and startups through a concept of “Super App” one stop service platform will bring a healthy startup ecosystem and a growth of deep tech.

Startup proposes the government with a concept of “Super App” one stop service platform which can be co-supported by startups.

According to Poranee Wattanachot, CEO of FinGas, a platform for ordering cooking gas cylinders online, the government should have startups function as service provider on the government platform. The working process of startup, from the beginning, technology and innovation incubating, prototyping and business marketing, are exactly the same operation run by the public sector. The government thus should support and work together with startups so that the services can be perfectly respond the public demand.

Some public services that the government is now operating or supposed to do procurement, they are they same areas that startups are now working.

“We therefore would like the government to act as the “super application” one stop service platform supporting research and development fund to startups connecting the database of the public sector and startups, by which startups can provide services to the public,” she said.

Through the collaboration of the government and startups, research and development projects on deep tech can perfectly respond the public requirements. For example, FinGas, an ordering cooking gas cylinders platform that the government can integrate database for addressing measures to help the low-income group of people based on cooking gas subsidy.

The government can also use FinGas’s customers data to offer a loan service for restaurants. With the data of FinGas, measures to be launched by the government will be perfectly right to the target groups.

The collaboration of the government and startups will help startup business to be competitive in local and international market, leading to research and development in innovation and deep technology, and consequently it’s beneficial to the economy of Thailand.
