TAT Celebrates 59th Anniversary Launching HackaTravel For Startups

Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) celebrates 59th anniversary having certified ISO 27001 : 2013 Information Security Management System (ISMS) by BSI Group (Thailand) Ltd., the business standards company, and Asian Intelligent Information Technology Ltd., the consultant in information technology security and process improvement to TAT.

Having implemented at the head quarter of TAT, the ISO 27001 : 2013 is an information security standard covering operation and infrastructure management system (the management system at the  data centre and email service) that entrusted TAT to have constant operation.

According to Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor, TAT has a vision thrive the leader in tourism promotion having Thailand a popular sustainable tourist attraction by focusing on potential Thai and foreign tourists offering value of travel in Thailand through the unique experience with the campaign “Amazing Thai Cool” for domestic market and the  campaign of Amazing Thailand “Open to the New Shades” for international market.

TAT, meanwhile, introduces the “HackaTravel” program in collaboration with National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) or NIA to promote new innovation of travel tech startups.

Pan-Arj Chairatana, NIA President said Travel Tech is an important business sector that needs for development as it will be a key player of economic development of Thailand. NIA, in collaboration with TAT, supporting HackaTravel project as a primary starting for human resource development in the travel business sector.

Both of NIA and TAT will continuously run a co-development of innovation and technology in travel for entrepreneurs in this sector, strengthen them to be competitive in the global market.
