HRH Princess Ubolratana Visits Thai Booth At ITB Berlin

National Innovation Agency (Public Organization) or NIA joined force with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), bringing three Thai startups along to attend ITB Berlin 2019 in early March in Germany.  These startups are Take me tour, Golfdigg and Socialgiver.

In the tourism trade fair, Princess Ubolratana made a visit to Thailand’s booth and was greeted by Mr.Weerasak Kowsurat, Minister of Tourism and Sports altogether with Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor and the board and executives from TAT.

As tourism today is increasingly driven by technological innovation, tourists from all corners of the world have much easier accesses to tourist attractions and services in foreign countries. This is why TAT and NIA have been working closely together to promote travel tech startups in Thailand, making them to be new economic warriors. This will enhance the competitive edge of Thailand’s tourism industry in the world arena.

ITB Berlin 2019 is regarded as the world’s biggest tourism trade show attended by visitors and exhibitors from 69 countries across the globe. During the event, there will be promotional activities, business meetings, and business travel forum to discuss the technological development and change in the tourism industry.
