YouTube is launching YouTube Kids application in Thailand. The app built from the ground up that brings an unparalleled library of content from all over the world to families. YouTube Kids has been launched successfully in over 41 countries, receiving more than 70 billion views, over 14 million weekly active viewers, and tens of millions of downloads by families who rate it among the top five kids apps available.

Since first introduced in 2015, the YouTube Kids application is now available to download in Thailand for free on Google Play and the App Store.

Key features of the app include parental controls, parent approved mode, search on/off, kid profiles, and timers. The app helps parents to control the experience for their kids. The parent approved mode allows parents to handpick every video and channel available to their kids in the app.

Parents can create profiles for each of their kids. Kids can set a personal passcode to get into their profile, but parents can always override their passcode to get into the app. The “built-in timer” feature lets parents limit kids’ screen time.

Don Anderson, Head of Family & Learning Partnerships, YouTube Asia-Pacific, said, “YouTube Kids gives parents control to provide a customised and contained experience for their children to explore their endless curiosities and learn about new topics that excite them. The launch of YouTube Kids is a testament to the incredible growth of family and learning content in Thailand.”
